In 2012 I was a new student at SUNY Binghamton majoring in Political Science. Already having been interested primarily in economics, I switched my focus to that, and from there, into the world of business.
Starting Out at Answering Legal
In 2014, I took a job here at Answering Legal starting in the Sales Department while at Stony Brook University for Business. After almost a year with the company, I was offered a position in our newly founded Marketing Department. I eagerly jumped on that opportunity in November of 2015. I instantly took over the company’s Search Engine Marketing, content marketing and management, advertising, and inbound marketing efforts. I have to admit, I fell in love with SEO, marketing, and providing the best experiences for visitors to our website.
Marketing and Strategy
I have always been particularly drawn to content marketing. I’d always loved writing, and had a keen aptitude for the liberal arts side of schooling, so it wasn’t extremely difficult for me to understand and become an expert in the field of content marketing. Through a few site redesigns, and the younger years of Answering Legal, I’d written the content for the entire site and its blog posts. Now, I mostly focus on creating new web pages for our buyers’ journeys, and oversee the content strategy for the entire site.
Some of my own own favorite content marketing has come through working with other awesome companies that also service the legal profession, such as LawPay, Captorra, Lexicata, and more. I love letting attorneys know that there are solutions out there that they can use besides our legal answering service. The companies I’ve worked with all provide stellar services and support, and I’m honored to have been afforded the opportunity to make connections with them. Why I Love Where I Work
Even in a digital world, I’ve always been a proverbial “hater” of voicemail. I just find the leaving and retrieving of voice messages to be tedious and bothersome. When I’m not obsessing over keyword rankings, new content strategies, and A/B testing new ideas on our website, I’m usually obsessing over my tragic New York Giants, playing music, or hanging out with my two cats.
