Answering Service Care Review

Answering Service Care is an answering service that was founded in 1974 and is based in the United States. Much like a myriad of other answering services, they offer 24/7 live phone answering services and even can provide bilingual answering to businesses that need it. Answering Service Care does not specialize in any one industry, and even mentions that they provide answering services to plethora of industries on their website. Answering Service Care has some of the lowest listed prices available, which we will talk about in depth later in this article.
Features
Call Center Hours of Operation
Answering Service Care’s call center is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. They provide live answering at all hours, and can even transfer your callers to your voicemail so that they can leave a recorded message for you.
Answering Service and Protocols:
Answering Service Care answers your calls with a recorded customized greeting, which they use because they don’t want any of their agents answering the phone and mispronouncing your name or your business name. While this might be true, it seems like a sly ruse to explain why they cannot answer each call live instantly. They also explain that you do not have to use a personalized greeting, but that they highly recommend it. Answering Service Care can send you your messages via SMS text and email, has a convenient client portal for you to login to, and can even send you your faxes digitally to your email. They also schedule appointments!
Customized Hold Music:
Answering Service Care provides customized hold music for an additional $10.00 charge every month, (“…to create a customized music package in the first place, contact us by phone.”) Answering Service Care does make a compelling argument as to why you should use on-hold music. For businesses with extensive catalogs, or businesses that just want to tell customers about themselves while the callers are on hold, customized hold sounds can be a voice reading your new products, promotions, or some exciting news while your callers wait to speak with you. It can even keep callers interested in waiting to speak with you if they are listening to some of your recent accomplishments!
How Answering Service Care Works
Like most answering services, answering service care will help you setup and customize your account, and will even help you setup your call forwarding. After that, they will even test your lines to make sure that the service is up and running. Answering Service Care will help you obtain a toll-free number, which they charge a fee for, but will get you a local telephone number free of charge. After everything is setup, Answering Service Care provides all of the services we mentioned earlier in the review!
Answering Service Care Pricing
Answering Service Care offers 4 different pricing packages, with an option for a customized pricing package if your business requires more than 500 minutes per month. Here are their packages:
- 100 minutes for $74.95 per month with $0.83/min overage.
- 200 minutes for $145.00 per month with $0.82/min overage.
- 300 minutes for $210.00 per month with $0.80/min overage.
- 500 minutes for $349.00 per month with $0.80/min overage.
The 100 and 200 minute packages come with 1 free voicemail box, the 300 minute package comes with 3 free voicemail boxes, and the 500 minute package comes with 5 free voicemail boxes.
Answering Service Care offers very low up-front pricing, but they charge for talk time after they transfer a call, duration of voicemail messages, and the hold time they incur while your callers wait for them to answer. They also charge $10.00 per month for scheduling and an additional $19.00 for every appointment they schedule. This can make the answering service a lot more expensive at the end of the month than you had previously thought. In fact, this usually surprises a lot of their customers. “They charge for calls after the phone has been taken out of forwarding to them, they even charge for overtime. They pay acuity scheduling 10.00 and charge you 19.00. It cost me over 600 for a terrible experience!”
Answering Service Care Reviews
Their reviews are generally positive, noting that the receptionists have helped businesses capture new customers and have been polite and friendly on the phone. It also seems that the general sentiment of getting everything in working order with Answering Service Care can be a bit hectic, but trying something new can be a difficult task. Most customers are unhappy with the overage charges and the additional billing for a la carte services. Their reviews can be found here: Answering Service Care Reviews.
