Voicemail, an Obituary

Voice Mail, 118, perished suddenly on January 1, 2016.
Originally known as the “Answering Machine,” Voice Mail was invented by Valdemar Poulson, and was the first apparatus of its kind.
A pioneer on the frontier of technology, Voice Mail let users with missed connections leaves messages for their intended parties, and widely revolutionized communications. Recorded messages to be listened to at a later time allowed for increased availability for communications, as the opportunity to pass along information was always prevalent.
Voice Mail is survived by its distant relatives, Text Messaging, E-Mail, FaceTime, and Instant Messenger, as well as its close relative, the Answering Service.
We remember Voice Mail fondly, as we nostalgically look back on the days where human to human interaction was the primary form of communication.
With a 24/7 Live Answering Service, all callers receive the benefit of speaking to a live, trained professional, at any hour of any day.
