How to Forward Your AT&T Cell Phone

Always Forward (All Calls)

  • Open your phone’s dialer.
  • Dial: **21* followed by the 10-digit Answering Legal number, then #.
    • Example: **21*8001234567#
  • Press the call/send button.
  • Listen for a confirmation tone or message, then hang up.

Turn Off Forwarding

  • Dial: ##21#
  • Press the call/send button.

To Forward Only When You Don’t Answer (Rollover Forwarding)

  • Dial: **61* + Answering Legal number + #
    • Example: **61*8001234567#
  • To adjust ring delay before forwarding, dial:
    **61*8001234567**30#
    • The “30” sets it to 30 seconds; you can choose 5–30 seconds in 5-second increments.

Cancel Rollover Forwarding

  • Dial: ##61#

Tips

  • Make sure voicemail is disabled or delayed longer than the forwarding delay to avoid conflicts.
  • Test forwarding after setup by calling your own number from another line.
