Legal Video Calls (LVC) is a service designed to help attorneys communicate effectively with clients who speak different languages by including a professional translator in secure video or phone meetings.
Overview:
- Purpose: To bridge language barriers between lawyers and non-English-speaking clients, ensuring everyone is fully understood and legally supported.
- Format: Conducted via Answering Legal’s own secure video conferencing platform or a phone line.
- Participants: Attorney, client, professional translator, and an LVC agent to facilitate the call.
Features:
- Hundreds of Languages Available: Check out the document about which languages we can provide interpreters for. A better question to ask is which languages we aren’t capable of translating.
- 15-Minute Increments: Services are billed in 15-minute blocks with bundle pricing options.
- Quick Setup: Video meetings can be arranged with only 30 minutes' notice. Prescheduled meetings are available Monday thru Friday, 9:00am to 8:00pm eastern.
- PDF Transcripts: Spanish language meetings include a written transcription after the session, which is sent to you immediately after the meeting has concluded.
- Pre-Meeting Room: Lets participants configure their setup (language, mic, camera, etc.) before the meeting begins.
On-Demand Service:
- Requesting a meeting on-demand: Call the Legal Video Calls phone number to be connected to a Legal Video Call Agent who will facilitate the call and connect you with the interpreter and your client. Available: Monday thru Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm eastern.
This service enables law firms to expand their client base, improve communication, and maintain professionalism when language could otherwise be a barrier.
